Hospitality and/or customer service experience preferred, but not essential.

Seasonal/temporary jobs in the Arcade, Snackbar, Minigolf course, etc. include a variety of tasks and responsibilities on a rotating basis, including but not limited to:

  • Running the Opening and Closing checklist for the property each day
  • Staffing the Arcade– both the redemption counter, and on the floor
  • Staffing the Window @ Paragon Boardwalk– food service
  • Staffing the Minigolf course

Director of Security

We are looking for a Director of Security to help ensure a safe, fun, and family-friendly environment throughout the summer season on Nantasket Beach. You'll join a team of full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees who are working to make this block the most family-friendly attraction on the beach.

The right candidate:
You carry yourself with a Good Cop demeanor, but are willing to be the Bad Cop when its necessary to enforce order and ensure safety. You have experience dealing with patrons in a restaurant/bar environment and know how to safely and effectively ensure customers are drinking responsibly. You carry a "Zero Tolerance" policy when it comes to: underage drinking, fighting, vandalism, illicit drug use, and any other behavior that flies in the face of a family-friendly atmosphere.
 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing roving, in-house Security in the Arcade and all spaces of Paragon Boardwalk
  • Interacting with customers of all ages, and ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable and safe time with us

  • Working with our General Manager to develop and enforce all safety and security measures as it relates to the Amusements and Food & Beverage service

  • Providing guidance and mentorship to our team of summer employees on how to provide a safe environment

  • Overseeing "bouncer" responsibilities for alcohol service and events in Paragon Hall, either yourself and/or with a team of part-time employees that you will assist in hiring and training

Experience/Job Requirements:

  • You are an authority figure with a heart of gold

  • Military, Police, Etc. background a plus but not a requirement

  • Familiarity/experience with working with kids/teens

  • Bar/Restaurant experience a plus

  • Experience with crowd control

  • A crystal clear background check


Games Manager

We are looking for a Games Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our Arcade, Fascination Parlor, and Minigolf course. You'll join a team of full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees who are working to make this block the most family-friendly attraction on the beach.

The right person will bring technical aptitude, a positive attitude and customer-first mentality, and a get-things-done energy to the team. You pride yourself on running a smooth operation, and love to fix things. You enjoy being a jack-of-all-trades, and love to learn new skills. We will provide training on the specific games and systems in the Arcade, and you'll bring a desire to be the go-to-person when anything isn't working. You take a proactive approach to solving problems before they arise, and teaching the rest of the team what you know.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Full operational responsibility of 60+ modern arcade games

  • On-the-floor responsibility to fix problems as they arise during busy days

  • Maintenance of all games, either yourself or with assistance from the manufacturer

  • Daily/Weekly reviews of game data and prioritizing adjustments to maximize performance

  • Maintaining the redemption counter to ensure prizes are stocked and appealing
